From bootcamp grad to hired Lightning developer
Four steps to turn your bootcamp credential into a live profile that gets you discovered by Lightning-native companies.
Get your invite code
Invite codes are issued by Lightning Developer Bootcamp organizers to each cohort graduate. If you completed a bootcamp, reach out to your cohort coordinator to claim yours. Each code is tied to a specific cohort and can only be used once.
Tip: Attended multiple bootcamps? You can redeem additional cohort codes after signing up to add all your credentials.
Sign up with your Lightning wallet
Zaplance uses LNURL-auth — a Lightning Network authentication standard — to verify your identity. No email or password required. Open your Lightning wallet (Phoenix, Zeus, Breez, and most modern wallets support this), scan the QR code on the sign-up page, and approve the login request.
Tip: LNURL-auth proves you control a Lightning node without revealing any personal information. It's the most sovereign way to log in on the internet.
Build your profile
Walk through a five-step onboarding wizard: add your bio and location, select your skills from the Lightning taxonomy (BOLT-11, LDK, Core Lightning, LND, and more), add portfolio projects with descriptions and links, connect social profiles with visibility controls, and set your availability status.
Tip: Profile completeness matters. Employers browse by availability and skill — a complete profile gets 3–5× more interest signals than an empty one.
Get discovered
Your profile goes live in the directory immediately after onboarding. Employers browse and filter by skills, cohort, availability, and work type. When an employer is interested, you receive a notification with their message and company details — no cold calls, no recruiters in the middle.
Tip: Keep your availability status updated. Employers filter heavily by 'available' — marking yourself available when you are dramatically increases inbound signals.
